1. Who can apply
Early-stage startups, including pre-registered ventures, CAC or any local equivalent. If selected as a finalist, you must be willing to formally register your business within if not registered 30 days.
2. Stage & funding
- MVP stage through early revenue.
- Total funding raised to date must not exceed US$200K (including grants and prize money).
3. Age of company
No older than 5 years from date of incorporation, or a pre-incorporation venture with a defined team and concept.
4. Product
An idea, prototype, MVP, or live product is acceptable. Applicants must be able to clearly articulate the problem, solution, and target user.
5. Team
- At least one founder committed full-time to the venture.
- Founding team must retain majority ownership at time of application.
- At least one founder must be available for all key competition dates.
6. Geography & sector
Operating in or targeting Nigeria. Open to all sectors unless otherwise stated.
7. Good standing
- Original work of the applying team; any third-party IP must be disclosed.
- No founder under active fraud or financial-crime proceedings.
8. Not eligible
- Subsidiaries of large companies (parent revenue > US$5M).
- Employees, judges, sponsors, and their immediate families associated with KTech Fest.
- Prior grand-prize winners.
9. Commitments
By applying, you agree to provide truthful information, participate in all required rounds, and allow your name, logo, and pitch to be used in competition marketing.

NOTE:
- We do not provide transportation allowances, for participants attending the competition.
- The event is fully physical and in abuja.
- The Competition last for a cumulative of three days.
- All hackathon participants would be camped and fed on site. through the duration of the competition.
- Pitchfest competition is done on the first day after which participants may return to their respective residence as they will not be camped.
- All winners (Pitchfest & hackathon)will be announced on the 3rd day. So attendance is mandatory, failure to attend translates to forfeiture of prize.
